In a northern growing climate the gardens are a welcome joy after long winters.  They burst and exude abundance during the brief warm months and hold promise through the colder seasons. 

 

Whatever the time of year there is a treasure to notice and gather; if not a frilly bloom in the summer, a graceful branch or weathered pod in the autumn or winter.

 

With an emphasis on northern perennials and rare annuals the gardens are a constant inspiration and creative endeavor.

 

The gardens have supplied Blomma Flicka design work, fellow local floral designers, and New York Flower Group in Manhattan.
